Kobalt signs Duke Dumont

Kobalt says: We couldn't be more thrilled to welcome the multi-talented Duke Dumont to the Kobalt family! The Grammy-nominated musician, songwriter, DJ, and producer's worldwide agreement includes publishing administration for his future works and includes his share of Katy Perry’s smash, “Swish Swish.”   

After becoming a prolific remixer, British-born Duke Dumont was instrumental in bringing UK deep house music to the forefront when his single, “Need U (100%)” hit number one in 2013 and was nominated for a “Best Dance Recording” Grammy. Two subsequent blockbuster singles followed, including “I Got U,” which also hit number one in his native UK.

In the past decade, among Duke’s procession of singles and EPs are tracks remixed under his alias and record label title, Blasé Boys Club. More recently, he collaborated on two Katy Perry songs, serving as producer on 2015’s “Every Day is a Holiday” and songwriter/producer on 2017’s “Swish Swish.”
