Zeitgeist Artist Management, Lever and Beam, and Barsuk Artist Management Join Forces To Create New Company

Roster includes Death Cab For Cutie, St. Vincent, Phantogram, Sleater-Kinney, Bob Mould, Best Coast, and More

Today marks the launch of Brilliant Corners Artist Management, a new venture headed by managers Jordan Kurland and Joe Goldberg of Zeitgeist Artist Management, David “Boche Billions” Viecelli and Alex Kadvan of Lever and Beam and Josh Rosenfeld of Barsuk Artist Management.  With initial offices in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Seattle, Brilliant Corners Artist Management is the manifestation of the vision of five managers with a combined century of experience in various facets of the music industry.  Dedicated to the development of long-term careers for artists of rare talent, the company is built upon the twin foundations of creative collaboration and robust client service.  A complete client roster appears below.  

 “For a long time, Joe and I were evaluating how best to expand Zeitgeist in the midst of the rapidly changing music industry” says Kurland.  “We kept coming back to the concept of building a new company, one that would allow us to provide more services for our clients without sacrificing the fabric of what has made Zeitgeist unique. Thankfully, Boche, Alex and Josh, all managers whom we hold in high esteem and with whom we share similar philosophies, had been thinking along the same lines.”

Adds Viecelli: “Alex and I found our focused and artist-centric approach reflected in our new partners’ endeavors and, together with them, recognized the opportunity to build a unique and progressive management community.  Our Brilliant Corners founding partners, along with our strong bicoastal team, are committed to honest and collaborative representation of artists via widely shared resources and experience.  We also expect to provide a home for other passionate managers drawn to the support we can provide them in a culture that transcends that of most management companies.”

All of the principals’ existing management firms will commence joint operations as Brilliant Corners immediately.  In addition to traditional services, Brilliant Corners features both marketing and touring departments and plans to expand capabilities further.  In addition to their broad managerial experience, the principals contribute expertise culled from other enterprises, all of which deepen the management practice.  Examples include Viecelli as the founder of leading independent agency The Billions Corporation, Rosenfeld as the co-founder of Barsuk Records, and Kurland as the co-founder and co-promoter of both Treasure Island Music Festival and Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco.
