Fans who purchased tickets to a canceled Live Nation show at one of the company’s venues will have a chance to get a full refund or accept a 150% credit toward a new ticket for a future date and part of a newly-announced ticket relief program.

The details of how Live Nation plans to refund more than 30,000 canceled or postponed shows were added to the company’s website Friday (April 24). Last week Billboard reported the LiveNation and its Ticketmaster company had been developing a refund plan for weeks — but before that was announced, the company drew widespread criticism from customers and politicians such as Reps. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey and Katie Porter of California.

While refunds for many postponed festivals and amphitheater shows are available, Live Nation and promoter AEG Presents have not begun the process of offering rebates for arena shows that will be rebooked. Both promoters are waiting for the NBA and NHL to decide how they are going to handle their postponed seasons before freeing up the dates for the two promoters. Once the arena shows are rebooked, both promoters will email fans with information on the new dates and give fans the chance to get a refund if they can’t attend the new dates.
