There’s only so much conversation you can prise from a plant. Having written a whole album on them (Algal Bloom), chatting with plants isn’t too far outside my ordinary schedule. After four days in quarantine, however, I find myself craving outside human contact, so am delighted to stumble across a virtual nightclub packed with fellow, self-isolating music-lovers. No queues, no bouncers; anyone can party at the Paradise Farage (relax, it’s nothing to do with Nigel). Access is free of charge via 16loop.com. Doors open at 8pm every Saturday and the music blares until midnight if you can hack it that long.
