Reach Music Publishing and Romanthony estate ink worldwide admin deal

Agreement covers 100+ song catalog including share in Daft Punk’s One More Time

Reach Music Publishing (Reach) has entered into an exclusive worldwide administration deal with the estate of Romanthony (aka Anthony Moore) covering the DJ, producer and singer’s full catalog of over 100 songs, and most notably including his share of the global hit One More Time by Daft Punk.

One More Time, which featured Romanthony on vocals, was a critical and commercial success when it was released as the lead track from Daft Punk’s 2001 album Discovery – an LP that concluded with another Romanthony/Daft Punk collaboration, Too Long.

One More Time’s appeal and visibility has been consistent over its 20 year period, and can most recently be heard on the current advertising campaign, soundtrack album and movie for the Trolls animation sequel Trolls World Tour, which was set for a major theatrical release but, due to the closing of theatres from the pandemic, has instead set record digital rental sales.

Romanthony was an underground name in the dance house music genre beginning in the early ‘90s before his success with Daft Punk catapulted him to global recognition.

Born Anthony Moore in New Jersey, Romanthony was a DJ, producer and vocalist who consistently recorded from 1991 through to his untimely death in 2013 at age 45.

Focusing on the dance house genre, he released numerous recordings and singles throughout his career and was particularly appreciated in Europe, with much of his work released just prior to the sales explosion and mainstream acceptance of the dance music genre in the United States.

A US-based independent today headquartered in Burbank California, Reach Music and its affiliate Reach Global was founded by Michael Closter.

It represents and administers popular songwriters, artists, and catalogs across all genres, including John Mayer, Common, Zac Brown, Danzig, Ice-T, The Knack, Lisa Loeb, Public Enemy, Lindsey Stirling, and many others.

Michael Closter, President and owner of Reach Music said: “Romanthony was a great DJ and artist, and his body of work is full of real gems. We’re thrilled to be entrusted with his valuable catalog, and to work closely with the attorney for the estate, Ken Abdo, as well as Romanthony’s daughter, Ashley Johnson.”

Romanthony’s daughter, Ashley Johnson said, “I sincerely appreciate the Reach team’s enthusiasm, hard work and dedication to preserving and celebrating my father’s music.”
