Los Angeles-based indie startup Create Music Group unveiled a new function on Monday (Jan. 28) for its distribution platform that allows clients to access streaming revenue figures from YouTube, Apple Music/iTunes and Spotify on a daily basis.

Create Music Group already pays its clients within 48 hours of receiving payment from digital service providers and is the first distributor in the world to offer this capability. Said Create Music Group Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Alexandre Williams in a statement: “After months of close collaboration with the teams at YouTube, Spotify and Apple, we are thrilled to be able to provide our clients with instant access to their daily net revenue estimates from all three major DSPs.”

He continued, “Converting streams to net earnings is no easy feat in such a dynamic landscape, but with our new Client Portal we are bringing an unparalleled level of immediacy and transparency to our distribution clients. Access to daily data is more important than ever in a music market where virality is the catalyst to success. Our technology was built for that and you see it first hand with the success of our artists like Tekashi 6ix9ine.”

Create’s client portal also provides daily revenue data for collaborators on each creative work, offering insights for not just recording artists but also producers and songwriters. The service already shows clients’ daily publishing royalties from YouTube and in the coming months will integrate the same information from the other major digital service providers.

Create Music Group claims $60 million in royalties paid to its clients over the past three years, thanks to its SAAS platform for rights management in YouTube. In 2016, the company expanded with full-service distribution services after acquiring the independent distributor Label Engine.

Last month, the company heralded the last-minute release of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Dummy Boy album. Its 1,500-label distribution roster also includes Insomniac Records, Mueva Records and Florida rapper YNW Melly and more.
