AEG Presents will offer fans 30-day windows to receive refunds for concerts impacted by the coronavirus, starting May 1.

According to a representative for AEG, ticketholders will have 30 days following the announcement of an event’s postponement to seek a refund from the promoter. For example, if an event announces its rescheduling on May 15, the customer will have until June 14 to request a full refund.

The May 1 start date will also cover events that announced rescheduled dates in March and April.

AEG’s refund policy announcement follows a $5 million class action lawsuit filed against StubHub over the secondary ticketing platform’s policy change to only offer coupons worth 120% of the purchase price of purchased tickets in lieu of refunds. StubHub’s refund policy went into effect March 20 — after most large gathering bans were enacted across the U.S. due to the coronavirus pandemic.
