Little Pink Book and London Sound Academy come together to 'level up' the music industry in a six part online series of womxn led DJ & production tutorials

LPB x LSA Present Level Up
Powered by Pioneer

Wed 5th August - Wed 9th Sept

RSVP - DICE

Women in music platform Little Pink Book has teamed up with DJ & Production school London Sound Academy to launch a six-part female-led series of online workshops and industry skills in association with Mixcloud Live and Dice. Streamed live on Mixcloud, each session will be led by some of the best in the game to inspire womxn to explore careers in DJ & Production and tackle inequality and imbalance in the industry.

The series is Powered by Pioneer and throughout the sessions, there will be giveaways of their DDJ-200 Controller, the perfect product for learning how to DJ on. The workshops will demonstrate key DJ and production tips from LSA tutors Yazzus, Tayylor Made & Hemlin interspersed with music industry sessions hosted by DJ & Presenter Sarah Story.

The tutorials will be accessible to all with a link for attendees to pay what they can afford, all of which will go directly to the tutors to help towards loss of income due to COVID-19. You can RSVP for the sessions via Dice and tune in on Little Pink Book Mixcloud channel each week; www.mixcloud.com/LittlePinkBook/. Attendees tuning in live will be able to ask questions and interact with the tutors throughout.

Noah Priddle from London Sound Academy says:
'We are really excited to have partnered with Little Pink Book to deliver this series of workshops. We are often the starting point for those looking to begin their journey into the music industry and we recognise how challenging and intimidating it can be to get started, especially for Womxn who are faced with breaking down much greater barriers from the start. With these workshops we hope to inspire people to take their next step by demystifying the subjects of DJing, music production and the reality of working in the music industry.'

Roberta Hickey, Founder of Little Pink Book:
'I'm really passionate about shining a light on amazing women in the music industry and giving them a platform to share their experiences and advice which is how Little Pink Book was born. A main purpose of LPB is to tackle inequality in the industry through education and highlighting female role models who young women can look up to and follow in their footsteps. With this in mind the partnership with London Sound Academy is extremely exciting and it would be amazing if we can inspire future festival headliners via the series.'
