Bugzy Malone has said he is "lucky to be alive" after a serious road accident on 25 March in Bury, Manchester.

In social media posts, the rapper has said he "sustained serious injuries and lost consciousness" at the time.

He shared photos of the incident and his recovery, while thanking fans for their support.

"I don't remember much, what I do remember is the non-stop love, and just want to say thanks for all the well wishes and prayers," Bugzy wrote.

Photos from the crash showed a damaged car and a quad bike, with debris scattered across the road.

He added: "Lockdown ain't easy because boredom causes the craziest problems, but be safe regardless."

His management first confirmed he was involved in the crash in a post on its Instagram story, shortly after the incident last week.

Greater Manchester Police told Radio 1 Newsbeat they were called to a collision involving a 29-year-old man.

A widely-shared video appears to show the artist, on the floor after the collision, with Bugzy seemingly confirming this with a photo accompanying his post.

Another video appears to show him driving the quad bike before the collision.
