Better Noise Entertainment announcesĀ Better Noise Films

Leading global independent entertainment company, Better Noise Entertainment, is proud to announce Better Noise Films.  The company will be led by entertainment industry pioneer, Allen Kovac as CEO and Dan Lieblein (Cinecom Entertainment Group, October Films, USA Films and USA Home Entertainment) as COO.  Also joining the team: Studio Production executive Michael Lombardi, CFO Harris Masood and Music Supervisor AJ Kasen.  Better Noise Films will develop feature films and other unique programming and original content.

Kovac is a 40-year veteran of the entertainment industry, having managed a wide range of artists including Blondie, The Cranberries, EnVogue, The Bee Gees, Mötley Crüe and Meatloaf, and promoted artists as diverse as Tom Petty, Talking Heads, Willie Nelson and Boston. His Better Noise Music label is home to AWOLNATION, Mötley Crüe, Five Finger Death Punch and The HU. In 2019 Kovac co-produced the highly successful Netflix biopic The Dirt based on the best-selling autobiography of Mötley Crüe, which introduced the band to a new generation of music fans.

“Better Noise has always been more than a music label. We are a content company that creates books, tours, theatrical productions, television and now film,” explains Kovac. “We are the artist development company and now, through Better Noise Films, we have a new platform for delivering top quality content that engages audiences and builds our brands and artists. We have several exciting projects in the works, including a drama about opioid addiction, a thriller-horror movie and several documentaries.  We have also optioned books, including Nikki Sixx’s The Heroin Diaries and a sci-fi story Perfect New World.”

“Allen has been developing artists and creative content his entire career, and Better Noise Films is a logical extension to the Better Noise brand,” says Lieblein. “I am excited to work with Allen on bringing his vision and tenacity to filmed entertainment. This venture will also provide tremendous cross-platform marketing opportunities for our artists and other projects. We were very fortunate that with the onset of COVID-19, we had two projects in post-production that we will be able to release in the fall when people will be looking for new entertainment.”

Coming this Fall:

THE RETALIATORS is a high-octane horror-thriller, starring Michael Lombardi (FX’s Rescue Me), Marc Menchaca (Ozark, The Outsider) and Joseph Gatt (Dumbo) with special guest appearances by some of rock music’s biggest names and a soundtrack featuring Tommy Lee, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, The Hu, Ice Nine Kills, Escape The Fate and more. Written by Darren Geare and Jeff Allen Geare, the film is directed by Bridget Smith.

SNO BABIES (produced by Allen Kovac and Mike Walsh of Philly Born Films) is a gripping tale about the grim realities of opioid addiction and its effects on middle-class suburbia. Kristen and Hannah are best friends--smart, likable and college-bound– and also addicted to heroin. The pair of seemingly unlikely addicts spiral down a path of destruction, hiding their secret from well-meaning but busy parents behind pink bedrooms and school uniforms, until their tight-knit community is propelled to act. The soundtrack features music from Bad Wolves, Sixx: A.M, Cory Marks and From Ashes To New, amongst others.

The story of Sno Babies was inspired by actual events, and in honor of the thousands of families who are struggling with substance use disorders, Better Noise Films is partnering with the Global Recovery Initiatives (GRI) to deploy 1,000 AmeriCorps recovery workers into local communities.

“Having spent 20 years in the streets of Waterbury with my last ten being a detective assigned to vice and narcotics, it is often difficult to explain the why and how it happens. This film captures all of that. I have seen and worked with a lot of “Kristens.” Thank you for using your skill to shed light on this.” – Rich Innaimo, Waterbury Police Detective (Ret.)

"From the first minute, I was hooked. Ridiculously powerful movie!” - Recovery Today
